One-Act Comedy Festival
Rockville Little Theatre's Second Comedy Festival will be held at the
Gaithersburg Arts Barn on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8 at 8:00 p.m., with a 2:00 matinee on Sunday, September 9. (The festival is not included in the season subscription.)
The lineup of seven original one-act plays ranging from the outrageous
to the thought provoking includes:
- The Book of Job, Part 2: Job Strikes Back by Matt Casarino.
God put Job through a lot. Can the legal system help Job set things straight?
- Cat and Dick by Andrea Alton. This one-act play explores life and love on the window ledge of a
New York City office building
- The Couldabeen Hamlet by Joe Feinstein.
Three actors jockey for top billing before the opening of "Hamlet."
- Mortek Wins the Day by Phoebe Weiss. They play violent science fiction video games that
transition into reality, with a surprise ending.
- The Rental by Harvey Levine. Friends hire a “boyfriend for the day” for their female friend’s birthday.
- Frida by Tom Neubauer. Major uproar about a lost cat who is manipulative and not really lost.
- Get Stuffed by Mark Scharf. A rude talking stuffed bear is the alter ego for a young man trying to find his
confidence and get on with his life.
